RBT, BCBA & BCaBA Supervision

We support RBT applicants completing their Initial Competency Assessment, practising RBTs needing ongoing supervision, and trainees pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification. Both Kind Behaviour employees and external applicants are welcome.

Both. We confirm a format that fits your location, work setting, and required observations or assessment activities, with appropriate client consent and privacy arrangements.

External supervision is $120 per hour. Supervision is covered through employment with Kind Behaviour. We confirm the schedule, assessment arrangements, and expected fees before starting.

Expect clear learning goals, regular discussion, observation of your work, and constructive feedback. We connect behaviour-analytic knowledge with everyday practice and ethical decision-making, agree on responsibilities, and review your progress and documentation together.

The Initial Competency Assessment evaluates practical skills as part of applying for RBT certification. Ongoing supervision supports and oversees your work while practising as an RBT. We offer both; completing the assessment does not replace ongoing supervision.

Complete the required 40-hour RBT training and provide your completion certificate. We also confirm organizational relationships and access to appropriate clients. The assessment must follow training and be completed within the 90 days before your certification application.

Yes, where an appropriate external supervision arrangement can be established. We confirm employer cooperation, client access, consent, and contractual responsibilities before starting.

Yes. Your employer needs to be involved in arranging permissions, client access, and supervision responsibilities. For an RBT Initial Competency Assessment, the applicant and assessors must all be employed by, or have contracts with, the same organization providing the participating clients’ services.

You need a qualified supervisor, a signed supervision contract, and to meet your pathway’s prerequisites before counting hours. For coursework-based pathways, qualifying behaviour-analytic coursework must have begun and the initial course must subsequently be passed. We confirm your start date and applicable requirements together; earlier work cannot simply be relabelled as supervised fieldwork.

You can enquire before securing a role. To accrue fieldwork hours, you need a suitable setting with client-related behaviour-analytic work and appropriate supervisor access. A paid job is not the only option, but booking supervision does not itself provide a job, placement, or clients.

We discuss individual and group supervision options during your initial enquiry and confirm the available format before starting. Your plan will set out how sessions fit your learning goals and applicable fieldwork requirements.

You maintain accurate activity logs. You and your supervisor review them and complete the required monthly and final verification forms. Monthly forms must be signed by the end of the following calendar month. Both parties retain the required records; verification depends on meeting the relevant requirements.

Yes. The contracts must define responsibilities and how hours are documented. Supervisors at one organization may coordinate; separate fieldwork experiences must each meet applicable requirements. Tell us about other supervisors so we can plan appropriately.

Yes, subject to fit and availability. Bring your logs, contracts, and signed verification forms for review. Your previous supervisor remains responsible for verifying the work they supervised. We establish a new contract for future work; a transfer does not automatically validate earlier hours.
